Dental Patient Coordinator

Job Description

 1Case Presentation. Present and discuss clinical recommendations to patients2Prepare and send insurance billing3Prepare and send patient statements4Know and understand our financial policy.5Establish financial arrangements with patients.6Be responsible for handling financial questions from patients.7Review next day’s patients and record amount that is to be collected. (Care Slip)8Responsible to see that the amount to be collected is done by yourself or the receptionist.9Responsible that all accounts are kept updated accurately and completely with all pertinent collection data.10Keep the fee schedule updated.11Have patients fill out necessary forms for credit agreement.12Keep all necessary forms for your area in good supply.13Trace all outstanding insurance claims more than 30 days old.14Cover Receptionist post during lunch and breaks. (Refer to Receptionist Hat for job duties).15Notify patients when pre-authorizations are received.16Keep an accurate aging record of all accounts, i.e. 30, 60, 90 day accounts.17Monitor and collect all delinquent accounts by phone calls and letters.18Keep accurate records of amount of insurance billed and collected each day.19Balance daily deposit. Take deposit to the bank no later than 3:30 pm.20Balance daily posting of charges, payments & sign Dentirx deposit slip.21Post insurance payments and mail in payments to patients accounts.22Run daily back-up on computer.23Use daily, weekly and monthly check sheets.24Keep track of your statistics and post to your graph daily, weekly, and monthly.25File all charts, x-rays and insurance forms that pertain to your area.
Job Requirements: A well-established group dental practice in the Orange County area that has been providing quality dental care to our patients for over 25 years is looking for a full-time Front Office / Treatment Coordinator / Financial & Case Presenter to join our Team. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented person that has the ability to multi-task. Must be positive, energetic, have good communication skills, and be a team player.

Qualifications for the ideal candidate are:

* Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a busy dental practice including: scheduling, coordinating appointments, explaining treatment plans and fees, billing and collections

* Minimum requirement highschool graduate.  B.A. degree preferred.

* Must have both Front Office and Back Office dental certifications and experience. Prefer D.A. or R.D.A. with Xray license for this position.

* Must have experience with HMO/PPO dental plans

* Experience with Dentrix is a plus

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Positive attitude and high ethical standards

* Great customer service skills and knowledge
